They are currently looking for a MEP Design Engineering apprentice to join their team.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

Main Duties:

  • Assist the team of Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health Engineers that have experience within a wide range of project sectors, with services installations from £100,000 to over £10,000,000.
  • Help provide tailored solutions across a number of different sectors, which includes commercial offices, pharmaceutical, laboratory, manufacturing, healthcare, retail, luxury homes, mass density residential, and educational facilities.
  • Help deliver a level of personal attention, which is not achieved by larger organisations, whilst providing the breadth of experience, technical skills, strength of resource and management ability to deliver a wide variety of projects.
  • Be passionate about reducing the consumption of resources in our projects and offer a distinct advantage in that we have the ability to engineer our sustainable, low carbon solutions and implement these at site level through to building operation.
  • Undertake regular visits to site and to attend various client meetings and over time these will form part of the job role. It will be part of the learning experience to accompany our engineers on some of these visits, on occasion.

Essential qualifications

GCSE or equivalent in:

  • Maths and English (grade 4)

Other requirements

Role will predominantly be office based. We do adopt some levels of hybrid working, however for positions such as these, we feel that the most appropriate form of work will be office based.

After this apprenticeship

Our goal is to provide training and experience to allow the individual to grow and ultimately gain professional qualifications with the goal of becoming a Chartered Engineer with the Engineering Council. This process would take time and effort on both our parts, and in terms of the progression and career path the route would consist of the achieving the following career steps: Junior Engineer Intermediate/Graduate Engineer Senior Engineer Principle Engineer Associate Associate Director
