Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- To undertake all general administrative duties and provide administrative support as directed by the Examinations Officer and SENCO. Provide general administrative support to the administrative and reception team as and when required.
- In a professional and pro-active manner, supporting the SENCO and Examinations Officer, undertake a range of administrative tasks, such as responding to correspondence, parent communications (telephone, email and written), external enquiries, liaising with external agencies, organises meetings, assist with arrangements for exam and SENCO related activity, photocopying and reprographic tasks, maintaining stationery stock and other administrative duties outlined to you.
- To provide support to the SENCO and Examinations Officer, including assisting with the management, coordination and administration of all internal and external examinations and assessments, as well as, to input data between assessment systems.
- Assist the Examinations Officer with undertaking applications to new examination boards, to coordinate post–examination session administration, as well as process and submit special consideration and access arrangements claims.
- To work with the SENCO to co-ordinate the provision of Exams Access Arrangements and to support the work of the SEN department. The postholder will work closely with the SENCO, Deputy SENCO and Exams Officer.
- Assist in the coordination and running of examination sessions (acting as one of the key contacts for invigilators).
- Oversee the exam invigilators, including recruitment, allocation of timesheets, training and dealing with past students certificate enquires.
- Assist with the coordination of all internal examinations including timetables, seating plans, invigilation and examination papers.
- Support the SENCO and Examinations Officer with appropriate tasks when necessary.
- Liaise with SLT, Teaching & Support staff, Parents & Students and External agencies.
