Summary
As our apprentice, you will learn alongside our experienced Pre-Press Artworker within our studio. This apprenticeship will give you a great understanding of pre-press artwork within the large format print industry and will give you a foundation to start your career as a pre-press/MAC operator.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
We currently have an exciting apprenticeship opportunity within the business as a pre-press large format print artworker to support our busy studio. We offer a supportive and friendly environment with the chance to be part of a growing business.
We specialise in high quality large format print POS solutions and displays. As an apprentice, you will assist in the production of:
- Both large and small point of sale (POS) signage
- Vinyl's, banners, posters and hoardings
- Pop-up units, light boxes and laminates
- Window and wall graphics
All training for the relevant skills will be given in house at AGVC The role is an apprenticeship, so training will be provided to enable you to carry out the above role and responsibilities.

Your training plan
- Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will obtain a qualification in Pre-Press Level 3
- Training for both the apprenticeship and the relevant skills to succeed in the role will take place at the workplace, with no requirement to travel to the training provider, BPIF
- The training and studying for the apprenticeship will be carried out via a combination of on-site visits with your BPIF Training Coordinator, along with occassional remote sessions via Microsoft Teams/Zoom
- Candidates who do not have the required level of maths and English will be required to complete Functional Skills as part of the apprenticeship
- We have a fantastic meeting room space away from the production floor to allow for off the job learning and on line learning access

We are a growing printing company based in Minworth, Sutton Coldfield with close access to Birmingham City Centre. We are a small team with big ambitions, established by the Managing Director and founder, Andrew Williams. We employ a team of 23 creative, smart and experienced people who work across our 4 main business areas of Client Services, Production, Design Studio and Installations. We work with some very exciting Clients and design agencies both local and international well-known brands.
