The surgery working hours are Monday - Friday 7.45am - 6.30pm. You will work some shifts on reception. These shifts are typically: 7.45am - 1.15pm 1.15pm - 6.45pm.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
The purpose of the role is to:
- Ensure the correct clinical coding for each letter and diagnosis is applied and entered into the patient record
- Offer general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone
- Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way
- Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice
- Facilitate effective communication between patients, members of the primary health care team, secondary care and other associated healthcare agencies
The duties and responsibilities of the role may include any of the items in the following list, and these can vary dependent on the needs of the Practice:
