Summary
We are looking to recruit 2 apprentices on a paid 1 month trial, successful candidates will be employed on a full-time basis. Apprentices shall be given the opportunity to complete recognised engineering qualifications at RTA. We have 2 apprentice sheet metal worker vacancies with successful candidates working with experienced fabricators & welders.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
You would be working across a varied product range, and your duties/training may include:
· Understanding of materials
· Understanding of fabrication drawings
· Dimensional Inspection
· Understanding of marking out using correct tools
· Use of hand tools
· Welding Tig/Mig
· Clear understanding of Health & Safety & Procedures

Level 2 Engineering Operative Apprenticeship Standard - Work-based training per the related Apprenticeship standard.
There may be other role / company-specific training available from time to time. The training schedule has yet to be agreed upon, further details will be made available at a later date.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Engineering Operations (Skills)
- Certificate or Diploma in Engineering Operations (Knowledge)
Level of qualification: 2 (Ofqual regulated)

- English (grade 4)
- Maths (grade 4)
