Summary
We’re expanding our team with the addition of a vehicle technician apprentice! As an independent JLR specialist, we work on a variety of vehicles from servicing through to extensive modifications. Our team has a vast knowledge of the industry, and we’re looking for somebody keen and ambitious to come onboard and learn with us.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
As an apprentice, you’ll be working closely with other technicians in the workshop. Reporting into the workshop manager, you’ll have clear set tasks and objectives which will progress and adapt with your knowledge. You’ll be working with another technician to service, maintain and repair our customer vehicles.
Assist with inspection of vehicles from a service and road worthiness perspective.
Carry out routine service and maintenance tasks, such as annual services, serviceable component replacement and tyre replacement.
Carry out more involved rectification tasks involving replacing failed components before then confirming that the issue has been resolved.
These are alongside the other tasks that come with being in a busy workshop, including maintaining the high health and safety standards that we set.
All tasks will be with supervision and assistance when needed.

Your training plan
In-house training plus the candidate will follow a Level 2 Apprenticeship programme and study towards a Level 2 in Autocare Technician. This training will be structured and delivered by Cheshire College – South & West. If the candidate does not hold GCSE grades A-C (9-4) or equivalent, they will be required to complete a Level 2 Functional Skill in the relevant subject
