Devonshire Hayes are looking for an Apprentice Recruitment Resourcer to identify, source and recruit, all level technology, education, engineers amongst other roles for our clients. Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • The Recruitment Resourcers role directly impacts the sales performance and profitability of the business unit. It is a target-driven sales role focusing on filling new roles that are supplied to the company on a daily basis. You will be on the phone for a large majority of the day.
  • You will be responsible for sourcing and then contacting quality candidates to qualify their suitability for the roles. This will entail you building up a pipeline of candidates who you have submitted to the roles and regularly checking the status. In addition, you will be expected to hit targets and KPIs to ensure that your actions fully support the business operational requirements in line with the company brand and vision, policies, code of conduct and organisational culture.
  • Find suitable candidates for numerous live job roles
  • Call candidates to build a rapport and sell the job whilst ascertaining suitability
  • Be prepared for objection handling to win the candidate over
  • If the candidate is suitable complete a “Candidate Screening Sheet”
  • Amend CVs where appropriate to highlight suitability
  • Submit candidate CVs to clients
  • Chase the clients for decisions on the submitted candidates
  • Ensure successful candidates are onboarded in line with safer recruitment practices
  • Advertise the jobs on the online job boards
  • Maintain administrative systems
  • Hit KPIs and targets
  • Provide management with performance reports

Course contents
  • Research, identify and attract candidates using all appropriate methods to satisfy job requirements. This may include identifying labour market shortages and the demand for those with transferrable skills with the capacity to move from the legacy carbon economy into a green economy job.
  • Write, place and update adverts in line with company procedures
  • Monitor responses/applications received and make sure that candidate’s applications are processed efficiently
  • Qualify, shortlist and present suitable candidates against defined job vacancies
  • Assist in the recruitment and selection processes by effectively liaising with the candidates and internal teams
  • Initiate, manage and develop candidate relationships
  • Identify and progress leads as required
  • Contribute to the development of a recruitment resourcing plan
  • Proactively and consistently strive to identify new candidate and client opportunities
  • Provide first line support for all enquiries
  • Provide pre-employment and compliance checks in line with company policy and relevant legislation
  • Provide support to ensure that the candidates and clients receive a professional and comprehensive recruitment service at all times
  • Seek and provide feedback in a professional manner at all times to candidates
  • Accurately record candidate and client information on the recruitment database
  • Utilise database information in line with relevant legislation and best practice
  • Escalate non-compliance where appropriate
  • Meet agreed Key Performance Indicators (e.g. interviews arranged, candidates sourced etc)

    Full training will be given leading to a recognised Recruitment Resourcer Apprenticeship Standard Level 2 Qualification

    Level 2 Certificate in Recruitment Resourcing

    Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Recruitment Resourcing.

    Full on-the-job training will be delivered.

    Off-the-job training will be supported by our training provider - Davidson Training UK Ltd.

    You will complete the Functional Skills in maths and English up to and including Level 2 (if you don't already hold the equivalent).

    All training will be delivered within the workplace during working hours.

    GCSE or equivalent in:

    • English (grade A*- C (4 - 9))
    • Maths (grade A*- C (4 - 9))
