Working within a busy office environment, you will support the administrative team to meet the schools key targets. The provision of full support to the Head Teacher to ensure the effective administration of the school.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Telephone and reception duties
- Dealing with visitors and callers to the school
- Organising sending post
- Opening and distribution of post
- Preparation of the daily and weekly bulletins
- Maintenance of school electronic diary
- Updating the MIS with student data collection information
- Input and receipt orders
- Production of letters and setting up trips/events/ items on ParentPay
- Update school website blog with diary news and content items
- Under the direction of line management, to undertake a range of administrative tasks to support the running of the school. This may include collation of data, preparation/distribution of communications and a range of administrative support
- Participate in training and other learning activities as required
- Responsible, under the direction of the Head Teacher, for financial matters having due regard to the appropriate financial directions and regulations of the Authority
- Ensure the provision of an effective administrative secretarial and clerical support to the Head Teacher and other teaching staff as required in specialist areas
- Generally organise, plan and control workloads and procedures The interpretation and the provisions of regulations and directives, and the provision of advice on matters within the scope of the job. Individuals have a responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people he/she is responsible for or comes into contact with
- To ensure all tasks are carried out with due regard to Health and Safety
- To undertake appropriate professional development including adhering to the principle of performance management
- To promote the agreed vision and aims of the school
- To set an example of personal integrity and professionalism
- Attendance at appropriate staff meetings and parents evenings
- Any other duties as commensurate within the grade in order to ensure the smooth running of the school
