Summary

The work is very intricate and is carried out in a modern, pleasant working environment. The apprenticeship will lead you into assembling, bonding and soldering electronic and other components that come together to make a finished probe and other accessories such as cables and connectors.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • Be quick to learn and keen to progress
  • Have good manual dexterity
  • Be able to produce fine solder joints (electronic work)
  • Be able to glue / bond very small components together
  • Work to high standards as attention to detail is crucial
  • Follow instruction both written and verbal
  • Computer literate
  • Work within a team or as an individual
