Summary
The Martlet has a small but experienced team of skilled chefs, producing a mix of pub classics and fine dining dishes. We have an apprentice who is moving on to Level 3 and would like to take on another. We feel we can give them a strong knowledge of good food and support them through the course.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Plating starters and desserts
- Prepping starters and desserts
- Veg and salad prep
- General kitchen cleaning and tidying
- Washing up, which is done by all the chefs

- Level 2 Commis Chef - Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
- Functional Skills at Level 1 and/or 2 in English and maths as required (exemptions apply)
The successful candidate will also need to complete a diagnostic assessment, which will help us plan the appropriate support required to meet your individual needs.
