Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Trainee Assistant Manager who will lead a team in our busy pizza kitchen. The ideal person will possess a strong personality, capable of leading a small team and maintaining the high standards of our pizza operation. You would provide support and deputise for the Kitchen and Operations Managers.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Experience: Ideally, you should be able to demonstrate at least 2 years experience of leading a team and will have an awareness of KPI targets. No previous pizza-making experience is necessary as full training will be given
- Leadership Abilities: Capable of leading and supervising a team of
kitchen staff, providing clear direction and ensuring smooth
operations during busy periods. - Customer Service: A professional and approachable personality with the ability to engage with customers and provide exceptional service, resolving any issues or complaints effectively
- Organisational Skills: Strong organisational skills to manage inventory, oversee ordering and ensure that the kitchen runs efficiently while maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safety
- Problem-solving: The ability to multitask, evaluate large amounts of information and make quick, effective decisions to address any issues that arise during service
- Health and Safety Regulations: Be able to understand health and
safety regulations within a kitchen environment, ensuring compliance and promoting a safe working environment for all staff - Communication: Have excellent communication skills to liaise with
other team members, management and suppliers, as well as to
effectively delegate tasks and instructions - Adaptability: Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to changing circumstances
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends and to adapt to the dynamic nature of the operation and the hospitality industry

The candidate will follow a Level 2 Apprenticeship programme and study towards a full Level 2 in Production Chef. This training will be structured and delivered by Cheshire College – South & West. If the candidate does not hold GCSE grades A-C (9-2) or equivalent, they will be required to complete a Level 1 Functional Skill in the relevant subject.
