Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Assist in conducting routine maintenance and inspections on various vehicles, including oil changes, tyre rotations, and filter replacements.
Shadowing staff on complex repairs and assisting with MOTs.
Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues using appropriate tools and equipment.
Work within a team to support customer needs.

Functional Skills
As part of the apprenticeship programme, attendance is required at our Skills Group training centre for one day per week. All other aspects of the qualification will be delivered on-site by the employer. You will have regular visits every six to twelve weeks from your designated Skills Group assessor, who will monitor your progress during your apprenticeship training.

After this apprenticeship
On completion of your Level 2 apprenticeship with the company, an opportunity to progress onto a Level 3 qualification may be available for the right candidate.
