Summary

Our 2-year Finance Apprenticeship offers the opportunity to join our finance teams at Hilmore House, and play an important role in helping the business deliver our priorities and build a stronger Morrisons. Delivered in partnership with Kaplan, you'll work towards a professional qualification and earn a salary while you learn!

Hours: We also operate a 4-day working week in Hilmore House, plus eleven Saturday’s a year, offering the chance to spend time in the office, focus on study at home and develop your teamworking skills in our stores.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

Join us as a Finance Apprentice to develop new skills and knowledge, working alongside Financial Accountants and Managers, support future plans and make big decisions, making a direct impact on our business. You’ll experience a variety of financial teams, launching your career in the best way possible and learn how to:

Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
Generate accruals, prepayments and adjustments
Produce financial reports to help improve our processes and procedure

Training

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

Your training plan

While working with us, you’ll also be studying towards an accounting taxation technician Apprenticeship (Level 4 CIMA qualification) at Kaplan in Leeds. Upon successful completion, you could move onto our Level 7 Finance Apprenticeship and continue your development.

GCSE or equivalent in:

English (grade Grade 4)
Maths (grade Grade 4)
Any x 3 (grade Grade 3)
