Summary
Within this role, you will work under the direction, guidance and supervision of an experienced mentor to support the delivery of high quality fit out and refurbishment projects, all the while learning valuable carpentry and site skills that will provide an excellent base for a career in the construction industry.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Working under the supervision of an experienced team, you will work across a number of projects assisting with the delivery of high end commercial fit outs.
Responsibilities will include:
- First and second fix carpentry
- Reading drawings
- Gaining an understanding of programming and construction sequencing
- Gaining an understanding of construction health and safety procedures

About this company
A London based principal contractor, Virtus Contracts undertake office refits / refurbishments, interior design, property construction / alteration projects and contract management. Virtus was established in 2000 with the specific task of working with property and construction professionals on both traditionally procured and design & build projects. Virtus is an established company and the personnel have a wealth of experience of working on fit out and refurbishment projects particularly of a fast track nature. All our staff have worked extensively in the fit out and refurbishment market on projects ranging in value from a few hundred pounds to multimillion turn-key projects. Central to our philosophy and approach is placing the client at the centre of our service delivery and designing a service that consistently meets and exceeds our clients’ expectations. We put our year on year 80% repeat business rate down to this approach.
