    35 hours per week, with days and working pattern to be agreed with your manager. Holiday allowance is 27.5 days incl bank holidays. We have some holiday blackout periods during certain school holidays and July-mid August based on our delivery.

What you will do in your working day

The Apprentice is responsible for the day-to-day administrative tasks to support the young people accessing our service, as well as supporting our marketing and social media. You will work together with the pastoral team to ensure our service is efficient and best supports young peoples' needs as well as the service outcomes. There will be occasional on-site tasks during school holidays, with additional training in Team Teach, Safeguarding and First aid.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Support: Assist in the planning, organisation, and delivery of young people and family activities. This includes coordinating logistics, supporting coaches, and ensuring the smooth running of events.
  • Community Engagement: Help to build and maintain relationships with local schools, agencies, community groups, and families to promote our service and support our service users
  • Marketing and Promotion: Work with the CEO and Social Media Assistant to create engaging content for social media, newsletters, and promotional materials to increase awareness and participation in our service.
  • Pastoral Support: Support pastoral team to ensure young people have 1-1 pastoral support plans/ risk assessments- including 1-1 school visits. Analysing progress reports, keeping in touch with schools and other agencies working with young people to ensure consistency and establish backgrounds, working to best support young people.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Collate and collect necessary pre- and post-activity information using Salesforce (enrolments/ permissions/ registers/ staff briefings/ outcomes/ evaluation etc.) In conjunction with the Head of Operations, provide necessary reports and updates to funders from collated course information and evaluations.
  • Administration: Support the administration of services, including maintaining service user records, managing bookings, and processing payments.
  • Business Development: Contribute to identifying new opportunities for program expansion and community partnerships to enhance the charity’s reach and impact.
  • Health and Safety: Assist in ensuring all activities comply with health and safety regulations and safeguarding policies.
  • Fundraising and Sponsorship: Help to identify and approach potential sponsors and donors to secure funding for our services.
  • To undertake regular relevant training, including safeguarding and Team teach.
  • Provide occasional classroom cover/ break and lunchtime supervision where necessary.
  • To undertake such duties and responsibilities as may be determined by the CEO from time to time, according to the needs of the employer’s business.

Relationships:

  • To be part of the staff team, develop and maintain constructive relationships with all F4YP Personnel.
  • Act always as a positive role model and reflecting the values of F4YP and adhere to the F4YP code of conduct.
  • Promote and maintain excellent relations between schools, funders and other stakeholders.

The training you will be getting

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will be awarded a BSc Sports Business Management (Work Based), and a level 5 CMI Leadership and Management Certificate, as well as Chartered Manager status. The apprenticeship aligns with the Chartered Manager degree apprenticeship standard.

You will attend the University of Hertfordshire's de Havilland campus on day release, one day per week for your studies.

Desired education and qualifications: • Level 2 coaching award or equivalent • Full and clean driving license. • Valid Emergency First Aid and Safeguarding qualifications desirable. • Sector relevant qualifications are desirable. Desired skills and abilities: • Effective time management skills. • Proficient in use of Microsoft office applications including word, excel and outlook • Knowledge/experience of financial processes • Good written and verbal communication skills and the capacity to engage and communicate with individuals at all levels. • The ability to be tactful and sensitive in communication and to empathise. • The ability to work on own initiative within a busy environment and ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload. • Experience in health & safety (including risk assessments) and safeguarding • Knowledge of local communities and partnership agencies that support young people General: Maintain and observe conditions of health and safety.
