What you will do in your working day
We are looking for an engineering apprentice to join, and provide support to, our existing team. We undertake a wide range of projects, in a variety of sectors, so can offer a broad experience base for your apprenticeship.
Main responsibilities will initially include working alongside senior engineers providing assistance with:
- To assist in the production of accurate design calculations, reports and technical engineering drawings
- To ensure plans, designs, reports and documentation are produced to a high standard
- To become familiar with and develop skills in various engineering and drawing software
- To print copies of drawings, correspondence and other documents including filing and archiving
- To attend site visits to view or inspect works to gain understanding of the construction process under the supervision of a senior member of the team
- To attend client meetings under the supervision of a senior member of the team
- Liaise and communicate with members of the project team including clients, contractors, architects and other external parties
Training and support will be provided alongside your academic studies to enable you to successfully complete the apprenticeship and degree programme at the highest level.

- Training will take place at the University of Exeter Streatham Campus in Exeter
- 2-week block release, 4 times per year
