What you will do in your working day

The West Cheshire & North Wales Chamber of Commerce has an exciting opportunity available in its Projects Team. The Business Administrator Apprentice will be an integral part of the team and will work on a number of projects, providing ongoing support to the Chambe team and local businesses through a variety of innovative initiatives. 

Duties to include: 

  • Manage and input data and project information using a variety of tools including excel, word and PowerPoint, this will include engaging with businesses and tracking evidence across several projects 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with businesses and internal staff to request and interpret information
  • Responsible for keeping information secure and up to date, scheduling meetings using outlook calendars as required
  • Updating information using the Chamber’s CRM system and the external funder’s CRM 
  • Work with the Chamber’s project team to support the organisation of workshop events and attend events if required 
  • Offer creative input and suggestions when required 
  • Support the rest of the Chamber Team on administrative tasks and projects when necessary

The training you will be getting

  • In-house training plus the candidate will follow a Level 3 Apprenticeship programme and study towards a Level 3 in Business Administration
  • This training will be structured and delivered by Cheshire College -  South & West.
  • If the candidate does not hold GCSE grades A-C (9-4) or equivalent, they will be required to complete a Level 2 Functional Skill in the relevant subject

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • A permanent role may be available for the right candidate, but this would also be subject to securing future contracts
