Summary
AGL Training Ltd are looking to recruit a Fitting and Fabricating Apprentice on behalf of our well-established client based in Hadley, Telford. For over 20 years they have been specialising in the design and manufacture of sewage waste treatment systems for clients all over the world.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Mechanical fitting of treatment systems
- Solvent welding of pipe and fittings
- Electrical preparation of blower and pump housings
- Preparing plastic sheets prior to welding
- Hand welding and tacking of sheets together with hand welder and speed nozzles
- Pendulum welding
- Extrusion welding
- Final assembly of treatment systems
- Quality control processes
- Health and safety aspects within the workplace
- Read and understand basic drawings
- Working out dimensions
- Forming cylindrical vessels by using basic maths
- Using hand power tools and a wall saw

- Off the job training will be during normal working hours
- Functional skills maths and/or English if not already achieved at GCSE grade 4/C or above

After this apprenticeship
- On completion of the apprenticeship, successful candidates will become a fully employed fitter / fabricator
