What you will do in your working day

Daily duties include but are not limited to:

  • Helping to plan exciting activities for the children
  • Supervising and acting as a role model for the children
  • Undertaking general housekeeping within the room to ensure a clean, tidy, and safe environment
  • Preparation of light snacks
  • Supervising lunch times
  • Engaging in room briefings/meetings and contributing own thoughts and ideas
  • Showing ability to work as part of the team whilst also showing initiative and developing an understanding of own roles and responsibilities
  • Ensuring that paperwork is kept up to date and making records when needed
  • Undertaking any training and inductions that are relevant to your role
  • Following all policies and procedures that are in place

The training you will be getting

  • The Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship Standard with the Level 3 Diploma in Early Years is conducted as a remote apprenticeship
  • Paediatric first aid qualification
  • You will complete 6 hours off the job training each week, which will take place at Tree Tots Nursery

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Upon completion of the apprenticeship, the successful candidate could potentially progress onto full-time employment, depending on suitability and job availability at the time.
